How to watermark your photos on Facebook using Appusocial
With the way things can be shared across the internet, you can’t always control how things are spread. If you upload your work to Facebook, Instagram, or any number of other websites people peruse for interesting artwork, you can be sure that a lot of them will just save it to their computer or post it to their own social media platforms and will either accidentally or unintentionally not credit the original creator. It’s definitely a problem, but luckily, we have watermarks to help make sure our works are always properly attributed.
What Is a Watermark?
Watermark is a visible text, logo, or copyright placed in a digital image. It helps other people to identify the source and owner of the digital image. These are traditionally marks left on paper or another medium that serves to be a hidden or semi-hidden proof of authenticity and origin for an item.
Watermarks are usually a logo, stamp or signature placed over the image or video without covering or interrupting it. That is why watermarks are usually placed in the corners. Sometimes they’re also transparent.
So, it’s still possible to visualize its presence without interrupting or preventing vision of the image that it protects.
Watermarks are also a form of branding for cases where your content is shared without credit. For example, if someone screenshots your post but doesn’t include your account information, or if someone saves the image and reposts it on their own, the watermark sources the image to you. It’s a form of marketing, as long as your watermark is intelligible.
Adding a Watermark Automatically
Sites like Facebook and Twitter do not have a way to watermark images by default when you upload them. Therefore, in order to use this kind of feature, you will need to use a social media management platform.
Appusocial here to eliminate that intermediary step. Automatically watermark every single photo & video you post to Facebook! No editing skills are required!

Don’t forget to click the “save” button to save the changes.
